Drifting is mostly a story about Buzzy, but the cartoonist Pat Moriarity also makes an appearance. The adventure begins on solid footing but as things get moving it quickly becomes a head trip on paper. Moriarity is a great cartoonist and storyteller. The book is filled with clever transitions and visuals as Moriarity warps the time/space continuum and morphs one scene into another. You can read the whole adventure online on Buzzy's website, but it's more fun on paper. Drifting with Buzzy Linhart is 16 pages including the cover. It's printed on colored paper with saddle-stitch binding. It's published by Brownfield Press and available for $2 from the Poopsheet Shop. R. Krauss reviews small press and mini comics on Midnight Fiction, Poopsheet Foundation and Comic Related. |
