new fanzine: THE HOLLYWOOD ECLECTERN #47 for John Stanley fans

Here's a new issue of The HoLLywood Eclectern, Ed Buchman's fanzine dedicated to Little Lulu (and all things John Stanley). The bulk of this issue consists of a six-page Hy Eisman Lulu story intended for a mid '80s issue of that title but never published due to cancellation. Full-color cover by Larry Blake.

A bit of info may be found at the website but I believe obtaining issues requires an old-fashioned missive to: Ed Buchman / PO Box 4215 / Fullerton, CA / 92834. It's worth the trouble though as it's distributed free of charge. Just drop a postcard or letter in the mail to get your name on the mailing list (donating a few stamps or $$$ is always a good idea but that suggestion comes from me personally).

Just a note to say that the Hollywood Eclectern IS still being published!! I received the new issue a few weeks ago from Ed Buchman. Anyone who is interested in Little Lulu, write to Ed at the address above to receive a free copy of the zine!

Y' know, I'm not sure. It seems like it would be since it's been going for forever but I haven't seen an issue in quite a while now. I hope it is though -- it's a lot of fun.

So, does anyone know if this fanzine is still being published?

Thanks for the great review, Justin. I really should heed your criticism for forthcoming projects and get some serious editing. Maybe I ought to seek your services for good measure ;)

I don’t mean to nitpick, but if you’ve been reading my reviews for a while here at Poopsheet Foundation, then you know that I can be a stickler for proper grammar and punctuation. There are many elements of The Wang that I did enjoy, but some of…
