I battle cancer at my day job, and write about comics & women's
college basketball at night. I have a beautiful & whip-smart
wife and a baby girl who was just born. I will happily review any
comics sent to me. I especially like to review minicomics. Contact
me at tmc [at] duke [dot] edu for my address. See more at
High-Low.
Justin Giampaoli
Justin Giampaoli refuses to choose, sometimes writing comics and
sometimes reviewing them. He is the writer of the crime caper
The Mercy Killing, the autobiographical
Silicon Valley
Blues, and the family drama
Blood Orange. He’s written
reviews for Hijinx Comics, Savant Magazine, and
The East County
Californian Newspaper. He’s one of those weird people who loves
public speaking and guest lectures on Comic Book History &
Script Writing. In addition to reviewing small press titles and
mini-comics at Poopsheet Foundation, he blogs frequently at
13 Minutes and is currently the Chief of Security at
the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.

also runs the (now on hiatus) avant-garde record label
Fargone
Records and records music as The Seven Arts.
Richard Krauss
I started reading self-published comics and zines in the late 70's.
I love the creative freedom and passion that is so much a part of
these things. It's exciting. When I review them I try to keep that
perspective in mind. My reviews aren't critiques. My editorial
comments focus on the things I like about the work. I try to
provide an accurate description of the contents, credits, cost, and
contact information; and enough sample artwork so you can decide
for yourself if you want to buy it. I review small press comics for
Midnight Fiction,
Poopsheet, and Comic Related.
Rob McMonigal
I'm an avid reader of just about any kind of comics, but I tend to
read mostly smaller press and self-published work these days. I
grew up with Spider-Man, black & white movies, and old TV
shows, which explains a lot. I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
with my wife and too many cats. I write a review for everything
I've read since April 1, 2006. You can see my other reviews at
Panel
Patter.
Robert Newsome
...has been involved in self-publishing for longer than he cares to
admit. He's on the board of directors of the FLUKE mini-comics and
'zine show that happens every year in the best city in the world,
Athens, Georgia. He'll tell anyone who'll listen about how he
believes he's personally responsible for the recent resurgence in
popularity of the Marvel Comics character MODOK. Luckily, there are
very few people willing to listen to him.
