Hey, I speak 3 languages, but French ain’t one. That said, I could only parse a few bits of the un-subtitled French dialogue, but this was still an interesting foreign language experiment that truly tested the mettle of the panel to panel storytelling chops of the creators on a purely visual level. I enjoyed the robust energetic lines in a story that flowed with a brisk pace. From something about poison to a magic genie in a lamp to a circus to a disco ball denouement, I was never exactly sure what was happening, but I loved looking at the emotionally evocative art. Grade B+.
