Contrary’s color covers are always terrific. While it’s hard not to like two hot slumbering women waking up with a playful mood and morning orgasms, acrobatic scissor fighting, and a double-sided dildo, this piece leans hard on titillation buttons vs. pushing any real taboo. That’s the balanced charge for me when assessing the strength of porn, yet this is almost charming and effervescent enough that you hardly mind the imbalance. And I suppose furry tail-fucking is a little taboo with this extended stay about a loving couple. The flip-side story by Dexter Cockburn is aesthetically clean fun, but I always feel that the style is too cartoony and too vanilla to be paired with Carrie’s work. It’s about sailors lost at sea having to do something to stay hydrated. Hrmm. I wonder what that will be. Grade B.
